Arts Manager and Program Coordinator

Summary of Position

Our client is an Arts Club & Learning Center in Cambodia which provides fun activities for children. They are looking for an Arts Manager and Coordinator who will be responsible for establishing the foundation for the Center. She/he will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Center, including its various arts programs.

  • Develop instructional guidelines and content materials for arts programs.

  • Develop and maintain the calendar for events and programs.

  • Promote activities and events, schedule, and maintain the spaces. 

  • Programming will include drop-in, workshops, courses, after-school activities, weekend Kids Club program, school field trips, school partnerships.

  • Ensure that educational materials and activities reflect the learning objectives of the Center.

  • Manage visitor flow, and safety rules and policies, and make sure the necessary supplies are stocked for arts programming.

  • Train, manage, and supervise Arts & Learning Center staff.

  • Responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner and providing staff with a positive role model.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with members of the local arts community.

  • Teach arts and crafts workshops and courses.

Other Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the arts, education, or nonprofits.

  • Preferred qualifications in Art Education, Studio Art, or related fields with coursework in art, communications, education, and marketing.

  • Preferred experience of 2 or more years working in a leadership/management role.

  • Experience teaching arts classes.

  • Experience with the use of the Google Suite of products including Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Calendar.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule; to include weekends and beyond normal working hours when necessary.

  • Ability to multitask and coordinate logistics for several programs at a time.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to create, plan, implement and administer projects.
