Compliance Officer
Summary of Position
Our client is an international FMCG company in Cambodia. They are looking for a Compliance officer who will be in charge of the company registration, providing support on contract interpretation and enforcement and developing contract template and checklist. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in administering and coordinating the compliance activities
- Ensure that the businesses are conducted in compliance with policies and procedures, local laws and regulations
- Assist in giving consultation on legal and compliance issues to the business associates in relation to their roles and responsibilities
- Assist in providing legal advice and supporting legal issue
- Handle company secretarial work
- Handle company registration work with direct selling related government authorities i.e. the Office of Consumer Protection Board, the Office of Food and Drug Administration, the Office of Consumer Protection Police
- Provide support on contract interpretation and enforcement i.e. commercial claims and guidance on performance of contracts
- Develop, improve and launch contract templates, check lists and other tools
- Handle ad hoc assignments
Reporting to
- Financial Controller
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law or related fields
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in risk management or compliance role, and experience in the MLM (Multilevel Marketing), direct sale or other related industries is a plus
- Good understanding of consumer protection and direct sale laws is a plus
- Good in written and spoken English and other language is a plus
- Must be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing
- Superior attention to detail in order to identify and correct risky practices
