Energy Officer
Summary of Position
An organization in Cambodia is looking for an Energy Officer to supervise its projects portfolio in the energy sector and to conduct, follow up the operational activities. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify new projects in the energy sector
- Participate to the assessment and contracting of the new projects
- Follow up the implementation of projects in all its aspects (i.e. risk and compliance)
- Organize and accompany the field missions of the local agency or headquarters
- To contribute to intellectual property productions
- Launch initiative for intellectual property productions
- Ensure sector monitoring and produce briefing notes
- Contribute to the definition of organization strategy for the country
- Be the representative for all partners and beneficiaries (local authorities, French Embassy,Development Partners, NGOs, companies, etc.)
- Participate to the sector dialogue and represent organization in all technical meetings
Experience Required
5-10 years of energy experience, having specific experience on energy transition will be highly appreciated
Minimum Educational Level Required
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Career Level Required
Experienced (Non-manager)
Languages Required
Written and oral English, French and Khmer communication skills are required
Other Requirements
- The applicant should be an energy engineer as the job requires high level skills in the energy sector
- Experience with international organizations and development institutions in particular will be considered as a plus
- Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment with colleagues and partners
