Head of Projects

Summary of Position

Our client is an IT hub for a Group Commercial Banks in South East Asia, Pacific Ocean, and the Horn of Africa areas in Thailand and they are looking for a Core Banking - Head of Projects who will be responsible for managing projects in Core Banking Domain and Monitor, build progress and ensure project quality. He/she will be based in Bangkok.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make strategic decisions and provide leadership and direction to project team to implement those decisions.
  • Interface with external vendors and internal teams to provide collaborated outcomes.
  • Devise cost effective plans and Managing risks to enable effective completion of Project.
  • Involve in evolution projects revolving around Core Banking including implementations of new versions
  • Work in proximity with core banking department to study the existing core banking system in place and finding the gaps between the existing products and the recent version of Flexcube and make recommendations, change request, etc.
  • Work closely with core banking Support and Interface teams as well as other stake holders.
  • Articulate problem and identify quick and effective solution among all parties including vendors.
  • Work closely with the system, network, and Database administrator to perform software installations, and to configure hardware and software.
  • Attend and lead status meetings and steering committee with various stake holders.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters / University degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Must be released from his military service obligations (Male)
  • Functional bank knowledge (i.e. Accounting, Letter of Credit, Loan and Deposit, Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Bills and Collections, Fund Transfer, OBP, Securities, Data Entry, Accounts... etc.) of Flexcube version 11 and above.
  • Eight plus years of experience in Flexcube related projects or Implementation.
  • Experience in the functional workflows of the core banking products like Flexcube.
  • Bank domain experience with exposure to overall banking process.
  • Ability to define KPI’s and resource management
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of core banking will be an added advantage.
  • Aware of SDLC and ODT tool of Oracle will be an added advantage.
