Human Resources Manager
Summary of Position
Our client is one of the well-known international schools in Cambodia. Currently, they are seeking a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for the administration and management of all areas of human resources for the school. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages all HR functions including the whole recruitment process, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation and Learning & Development.
- Develops and maintains the School’s employee policies and procedures, employee handbook and employee forms
- Maintains and updates the Working at the International School of school guide
- Oversees employee onboarding, orientation, exit processes and document completion
- Advises and consults with Head of Operation/Head of School and relevant leadership team members to resolve and/or diffuse employee relations issues; oversees and directly engages in the resolution of delicate employee matters and seeks at all times to protect the School’s best interest
- Monitors and submits insurance claims related to worker’s compensation
- Coordinates all leaves of absence and administration in accordance to school’s policy
- Develops, implements and maintains effective compliance with labor laws including, employee training
- Maintains employee records and files, oversees visa administration for expatriate teacher and staff
- Leads annual performance management process for staff and leads professional development initiatives for staff
- Other duties may be assigned

Other Requirements
- Master/Bachelor's degree in human resource management, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources management
- Highly organized and detail-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of confidentiality and discretion and well-developed business ethics
- Proven Ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities, functions and activities and organize personal workflow and communication to meet the needs of all stakeholders
- Ability to lead a department, organizing internal work to maximize efficiency and accuracy while meeting internal and external timelines
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of basic business and payroll software, including Google, shared online platforms, and Microsoft
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
- Possess a kind, pleasant and effective communicator, willing to serve people at all levels in the organization
