Lean Management Controller
Summary of Position
Our client is an international construction company in Cambodia. They are looking for a Lean Management Controller who will manage, coordinate and lead the day-to-day project management of the site and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the construction operations. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote the Lean Construction process and programs on the project
- Coach and support project teams with implementation of the basic Lean tools and continuous improvement programs
- Teach, practice, develop & improve the Project’s / Company’s Lean methodology
- May lead and train Engineers and Superintendents to run effective Planning sessions, weekly Planning sessions and Daily Stand-up sessions through a lead/co-facilitate/coach model
- Challenge project team members and employees to identify, remove and resolve constraints that prevent the team from fulfilling commitments
- Develop Lean improvement initiatives which achieve project deliverables
- Facilitate Lean events (structured team problem solving activities)
- Report improvement projects status to plans at regular intervals
- Use process mapping and value flow analysis when appropriate
- Deliver stable/steady improvement with standard work and simple/visual controls
- Maintains level of standards of lean tools used among the project’s team
- Serves as an ongoing resource for assigned projects and employees to help identify opportunities for improvement

Other Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Lean Management
- Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering background
- Fluent English. French would be an asset
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Excellent in written and verbal communication skills, strict, responsible able to work under pressure, ability to review complex information
