Office Assistant

Summary of Position

BritCham is looking for Office Assistant.

The Executive Assistant will be assisting and reporting to the Executive Director in the operations of the Chamber. The Officer will also need to work closely with the Chamber’s Board members in the execution of his/her role.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize of Chamber events
    • Support the Executive Director in the execution of Chamber events, including:
      • Liaising with venue/catering partner
      • Managing attendance
      • Promotion
      • Finances
      • Support Events Committee
  • Management of the Chamber’s accounting
    • Manage and record the Chamber’s petty cash and petty cash expenses
    • Input QuickBook entries and record the Chamber’s expenses for both Chamber and UKTI budget
    • Invoice, collect payment and issue receipts for membership fees, event fees, sponsorship fees for the Chamber
    • Collect and deposit of funds from the Chamber’s bank account, including cross-checking of bank funds with QuickBooks
    • Support Finance Committee
  • Contacts Database Management
    • Manage and maintain the Chamber’s CRM system Insightly updated
    • Manage and maintain the Chamber’s Website subscribers list updated
  • Membership
    • Manage and process membership applications
    • Manage and maintain the Chamber’s Online Membership Directory updated
    • Support the Membership Committee
  • Communications
    • Manage the Chamber’s Facebook page
    • Manage photos on the Chamber’s Website
  • Administrate Support to the Executive Director

  • Desirable
    • Experience in office administration & events planning
    • Experience in online/web-based platforms/systems & social media
    • Graduate and Masters degree level
