Paralegal Officer
Summary of Position
Our client is an international impact investor with more than 20 years of track record in promoting financial inclusion, particularly in rural areas and in the agricultural sector, target both financial and social/environmental positive impact. They are looking for a paralegal officer who will actively support the legal department in paralegal activities by ensuring effective administrative information and assistance for the full legal team. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall business and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the legal team’s activities for Asia region.
- Assist the legal counsels in their day-to-day activities through a variety of tasks, including the preparation of standardized legal documentation (e.g., promissory notes, proxy forms, NDA’s) and correspondence with clients (e.g., organize signing and closing).
- Cooperate with other departments and stakeholders regarding legal documents and processes (e.g., requesting and delivering certificate of residence, legalization, notarization and apostille for documents, arranging translations).
- Be responsible for record keeping of legal documents (both electronically and hardcopy) and managing and archiving original legal documentation.
- Be responsible for the corporate agenda management of the companies and funds, including scheduling and coordinating on-site and off-site meetings, booking meeting rooms, teleconferences, drafting agendas, preparing materials, assisting board members and shareholder representative in business travel (e.g., visa application).
- Be involved in the corporate housekeeping of Incofin companies and funds (e.g., organize board meetings, shareholders’ meeting, prepare agendas, prepare meeting minutes, filing of corporate housekeeping documentation).
- Keep informed of legal and regulatory developments in financial services law and regulation through research and attending industry specific events. Prepare briefing notes for the Legal and Compliance team on key regulatory developments.

Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration (or other relevant education), legal degree will be a plus
- At least 2-3 years related experience of working within a financial services company and/or exposure in legal work environment would be very helpful
- Strong affinity for impact and responsible finance, ability to work collaboratively with a global team
- Ability to manage work with tight deadlines and to adapt to evolving or rapidly changing environments.
- Fluent written and oral communication skills in English and Khmer are mandatory, other languages from the region (especially Chinese) are an advantage.
