Technical Manager
Summary of Position
Our client is into real estate and property development. They are looking for a Technical Manager who will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee various technical activities in the Engineering Team, ensuring the engineering operations and procedures are followed, successful completion of construction project, as well as the implementation of engineering operating systems are met with the current and future needs of the company. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinates the works of office engineering staffs with relevant departments, suppliers and contractors in sharing technical input and aspects.
- Serve as the technical expert for detailed design and construction aspects of the project.
- Oversees progress, timelines, and technical aspects of the projects to support accordingly.
- Oversee office engineering staffs and ensure that they meet the goals and objectives
- Establish, implement and maintain detailed engineering policies, processes & procedures, practices, standards and security measures in monitoring and tracking of engineering related documentation throughout project lifestyle for engineering staff to follow to ensure effective and consistent operations.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Check and approve concept design, design brief, calculation notes and structural/ technical drawings.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of work performed and methods used by engineering staff.
- Provide schematic structural design to architect team and QS team to final the architectural design concept, quotation, and pricing respectively.
- Design, analyses and optimize the work methods for tender stage and provide technical advice and instruction for construction stage.
- Provide training and mentoring as needed.
- Check, verify and solve design issues during construction work progress for construction and design and build projects.
- Prepare detailed installation plans, methodology, processes and procedures for support of construction team
- Review/check design of temporary structures for internal construction and proposed by sub-contractors.
- Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the internal team members, client, consulting engineers and contractors.
- Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects
- Prepare and deliver various engineering related presentation s, both internally and externally
- Collaborates with the company’s executive leadership to develop and meet organizational goal while supplying expertise and guidance on projects and systems.
- Ensures that departmental decisions such as staffing, development, organization, hardware acquisitions and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.

Other Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
- At least ten years of related experience s in design, site implementation project management, and leading teams
- Knowledge in design codes and construction methodology (such as BS, Eur o pean C ode ACI, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles procedures, and practices
- Excellent organizational skill, time management skill and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
